When I left work yesterday I told them I had no availability today. I am staying home to try to feel better and get some things done. My image is of the bridge over the river east of town.It was posted on Facebook from KWCH News in Wichita, Ks. I live on the west end, on the second highest hill in town. This morning when I got up my cell phone had a flood warning alert posted. I had said to Bob that we should go look at the 5th Street Bridge . . .but not gonna do that. So, I am taking it easy, still in my sleep clothes. Hubby made breakfast, and I took a short nap. If you have sunshine, enjoy it. Tomorrow is supposed to be field day at school. It is also supposed to be 54 F for the high. I am scheduled to work. It will be a good day.

We are having a sunny day today. It is about 68 F outside and I have windows open to let the fresh air in. Hoping that I won't regret doing that due to the high tree pollen. It bothers me when it is this high. Excellent that you have a day off! Little Miss and I call them jammie days. We stay in our jammies most of the day.

It is unusual for me to stay in jammies long. I did until around noon today, though. Now I am in shorts and a tank top, because I can. It is supposed to be kind of cold tomorrow.

Snow to the northwest of us. Colorado for sure. I am glad to be in the eastern side of the state. Closer to Missouri.

@andriaperry About five years ago, on this weekend, it was almost cold enough to snow. Where we lived has an annual school celebration the second Friday of May. We watched the parade and visited with an elderly lady who said it did snow the year she was in Kindergarten for the All Schools celebration.

I work west of here, in a higher area. Even if I had been scheduled, school was cancelled due to the number of students on rural bus routes. It was a good day to stay off the roads.

Our location is really very safe. I know there are some houses on a road east of this that may have some difficulty.

I hope you can stay out of the wind. It is very still and humid here, and I heard we are expecting more rain.

Mostly I do feel better. It is amazing how fast we see the water on the fields and ditches going down.

We are still having intermittant rain showers, with occasional peeks of sunshine. Chillier than usual, as well.

I had not seen water over the bridge before, but we have only lived here going on four years. It is our fourth May. It was pretty high.

That bridge does not look good, need a boat to cross that. We have had quite a bit of rain over the last 2 weeks but not much flooding. Good luck hope the flooding dries up soon for you.

It dried up really fast. That bridge is not the only way across the river, there are some on higher ground.I am sure some people had to stay home that were along that road.
