One of the best teachers I ever had was Oscar Thomas at Tarpon Springs High School in Florida. I easily quote him more than any other teacher.
One of his pearls of advice that I have always found to be true was...
"You won't always get paid for what you know, but you will always pay for what you don't know."
Sometimes you pay in money, sometimes in lost opportunity, other times it can be more painful or even embarrassing, but yes, to will always pay for not knowing.
So now I pass that sage advice on to you. Never stop learning, never stop growing . The more you know, the less often you will have to pay.
