How often do you clean your stove?

I am thinking of buying a new stove,
It is forming small rusts beneath and my husband credited that for not cleaning it everyday.
Well, i have been using it for 4 years and it is still in perfect condition. I clean it once in two weeks if not every week.
It’s the soup or sauces that drip in it or the steam of whatever i cook made it a little rusty.
So, do you clean your stove everyday? If not, how often?

My stovetop gets cleaned at least once a day or more often if the need arises.
