The food we are eating is changing.

Today I soaked some dry beans and had a delicious bean dish with pork skin. I added hot smoked ground red pepper.
I was thinking about what to eat for dinner, and I really want nothing but a cup of coffee in a couple of hours.
This is the food we eat when the weather gets cold. I would not think about cooking this in summer.
Do you cook different in winter?

Not really. I eat basically the same things year around.

I eat a lot less soups in summer. Except maybe tomato and corn soup.

Yes, and I'm in the process of switching to summer foods. It's still cool here, though, so I made some lentil stew the other day and am still eating on it.
