One week without Sandy

One week ago my beloved 6.5 year old cat Sandy suddenly passed away. He was fine one minute and then he was gone on the floor the next. It was completely unexpected since he was healthy, happy, and so young. I had him from the time he was found under a dumpster after Hurricane Sandy at the age of 4 weeks old. As soon as he could climb his tiny little butt up onto our bed, he was sleeping curled up in my neck. He still slept that way curled up in my arms until a week ago. I moved to this apartment a month and a half ago and that was a HUGE change in my life that I didn't want. . . but at least I had my baby to keep me company and to be happy to see me when I got home. It feels so empty without Sandy. I miss my boy so much.

And it's no wonder you miss Sandy so much, you were his 'grafted in' mother! Sandy was a baby when you took him in, he had no memories of a person, that he loved more! I hope you have pictures of him, to save forever:)

So sorry! I can still remember when Misty went to live in the good dogĀ“s Paradise. I missed her very much for maybe years. She has not been forgotten.

Virtual hugs. I can sympathize it is always hard to lose a pet. However, the good thing is that one minute he was with you and the next chasing butterflies in the fields up yonder. Believe me, he loved you and is still with you in spirit.

Hugs from me and the crew. Give yourself time to cry and grieve. His spirit remains with you. I'm terribly sorry.
