I thought it was a most lovely song. The Bangles recorded“Eternal Flame” in 1988. The song became a number one single on the charts in nine countries. It was written by the songwriting partnership of Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly and from the group Susanna Hoffs. This song was inspired by two eternal flames one was at Elvis’ gravesite which The Bangles visited at Graceland and the second at a local synagogue in Palm Springs once attended by Steinberg as a child. Who remembers this song?

Just now that I know the story behind the song it makes me kind of sad thinking of Elvis' eternal flame @MommyOfEli2013
