Have yet to use my Breville Sous Chef food processor

My mom was bugging me about buying a food processor. She wanted to get me one. And not just a cheap one but a great one. I chose to get the Breville Sous Chef. The cost is over $320.
At first I didn't want to get it because it is expensive. Though I wasn't the one paying for it I still didn't feel comfortable about having my mom spend that much. But when I told her about it, she gave me the ok to get it and so I caved in and got it.
I took everything out and put it in the pantry because I have no counter space for it but have yet to actually use it. I'd say about a month has passed for sure since it was delivered. Hopefully, everything works fine...
Just when I think of finally trying it out I figure I don't have that much to chop, slice, or shred so just do it myself with a cutting board and a knife.
Anyone use a food processor? And which one do you have?

Mine has been in the pantry since we moved 15 years ago. I think I used it a couple of times when I first got it as a gift for our wedding decades ago.

I never did a bridal shower. I figured I'd save money and if I needed an appliance I'd just get it myself.

@lovebuglena We are only two, it's quicker and easier to cut and shred manually.

Sometimes I need shredded carrot so I use a manual shredder. It is good for one but if I want to shred many carrots a food processor will save a lot of time and my fingers from possibly getting shredded.

I don't dig kitchen stuff, so I can't tell which. Lots of housewives are eager to have as many as possible although they don't use them often.

I wasn't planning on getting one. But then mom started to bug me about how she wanted me to have one. So now I have it but have yet to use it.
