Is there anything better than a homemade jam? I don't think so. The rich sweetness touches your tongue and instantly wakes up your taste buds. Of course, apricot jam is one of my favorites, but then I consider all the flavors as favorites. I wouldn't turn any of them down. But my favorite, my most favorite of all is strawberry jam. I used to make pint jars of jelly, preserves, and jams of any fruit I could get my hands on. Every years my girls would look forward to a basket of different flavors and colors of mouth-watering jams. Maybe I will surprise everyone and get busy, in a few weeks and start making up some of the well loved jams of my former years.

They love it when I make canned jam and canned spaghetti sauce. They would wait impatiently every year to receive their basket.

@HazySue we had tons... I mean tons of strawberries. We even gave away a lot and still had enough jelly to last a year.

Sounds awesome. My mother started making strawberry jam in her later years. It was delicious and my kids looked forward to her Christmas basket with jam in it.

Strawberry jam is my all time favorite. My grandmother used to make pear preserves. She had many trees.

I think pear preserves is wonderful. However, I don't think anything will ever match the pleasure I get in eating strawberry jam.

Some of the jams you can get at a farmers market are excellent. That's where I go when I can't make my own.
