I had some apples on hand. They are a variety I do not like to eat just by themselves. I wanted to cook something with them. I got out a skillet and went to work. I melted brown sugar, and butter. On top of that gooeyness I laid out apple slices. I then made up a cake mix, with personal modifications and enhancements. The cake batter was poured on the apples and the entire thing was baked until done. It came out really good. I need to spend more time in the kitchen and maybe I will this week, for sure.

No, I used up the last of my heavy cream in another dish last week. It would be good. Cream goes on the list right now.

It was very good. I always add vanilla to my mixes, then instead of water, I used milk and added an extra egg. This is as nice or nicer than the "cream cakes" I have sampled at the store.

Yes, these were given to me. They are not crisp when you bite them so I prefer them cooked.

Apples are a favorite in cooked dishes for us. Even if I just microwave them.

It is very good. Not as overwhelmingly sweet as a cake with frosting, but even more delicious.

I am thinking they are probably not common where you live. I love some of the foods from your area. I imagine you have some fruits you like to use.

@ShifaLk I have had papaya, but it is not my favorite. Bananas we have, it sounds as if you dry them. Looking online, things I can buy here that are supposed to come from India are star fruit, pomelo, and persimmon, which I really liked.

@GardenGerty yes it's not common here. You are right. What kind of foods do you like? Which ones have you tried? Yes.. Sometimes a raw papaya is used as a vegetable.. But I don't know how. And Chips of banana.. Rest others, I can't remember right now
