It's that time of the evening when a lot of people are watching prime time. I'm watching baseball, as well as watching myLot members gasp in disbelief over the fact that there are ten very popular shows that I never ever watched. Can you believe it? Here's another. #7: Oprah I guess I'm tired of Oprah Winfrey's ass Telling me every move to make And I'm tired of Martha Stewart's ass Telling me how to bake a cake (Tim Wilson, "But I Could Be Wrong") Nah, not really (well, true about Martha Stewart). To me, though, a "talk show" is, as Robert Klein (hey, welcome to "quote a comedian" night!) said, Johnny Carson's formula: "eight minutes, plug your new book or movie, then boom! down the coach and the next guest comes out." Never watched Oprah. I've seen clips, but to actually watch the entire show? No. Same goes for Dr. Phil. And Ellen. And all the "fight shows" like Springer and Maury. That's what you get for scheduling a talk show during my nap time. Talk shows belong on TV at night. Oprah Syndicated Aired 1986-2011 Hey, my man John Hiatt mentioned Oprah at the end of this song!
