Rain, Rain and More Rain?

Hello everyone! I hope you've had a good day. We had storms come through this morning which caused our humidity to go up. Right now we are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 11pm. The doctors say that weather changes don't affect fibromyalgia or neuropathy. Well I beg to differ. I have felt all day long like I was coming down with the flu. Really bad body aches, muscle and joint pain. I even felt like I had a fever. I had to go to bed three times just so I could get comfortable.
I just took my meds so I should be okay for another couple of hours. The bad thing is, we have rain and thunderstorm chances for the next 5 to 6 days. Now, that could change as our weather changes pretty quickly here. I love rain but this old body is quickly changing that. So, now that I am feeling better, I'm myLotting a little bit. How is your evening going? Did you have a good day today?

You are having a lot of rain there. They forecast showers here but I haven't seen anything yet. Maybe during the night.

We are supposed to have rain and storms from today until Sunday atleast. I'm sorry you haven't been doing all that well today. I'm hoping tomorrow will be better for you.
My evening has been good. I had a good day as well. Got up early and went to get some clothes, to get some groceries and then home again. I've been on and offline doing things. Now I am just trying to relax before watching the news and going to bed.

@simone10 They weren't too bad, I guess. I don't really remember!
I'm definitely not having a busy day today, which is nice.

Rain affects my joints, I know when the barometric pressure changes I can feel it in my knees so I understand that weather affecting how you feel. I hope your medicine keeps it under control.

humidity is so bad here plus the 2 in my house are still young enough they don't understand what different chemicals and such can do to my breathing and other problems so no, haven't had a good day for a very long time. sorry to say
But I do wish you would get some relief from the weather there. Hope it's getting better for you dear

@simone10 they do. One day daughter sprayed bleach in the bathroom directly across from my room and when I said something about smelling it she said it should not affect my lungs as it was in another room. Thats how she thought of it.

@bunnybon7 she doesn't understand. She should at least shut your door but even then, it can still get in the room.

My surgeon said the weather wouldn't affect my knee that I just had surgery on, but it is storming here and my knee is aching. I put a lot of validity in the old wives tales about the weather affecting our bodies with aches and pains.

@moffittjc I couldn't have said it better myself! This is so true with quite a few doctors.

@simone10 I think the problem with some professionals (scientists, doctors, etc) is that they deal with the world of scientifically-proven facts. If it hasn't been scientifically proven, then they often don't accept it or just dismiss it with a wave of their hand. Not all, but most. Since they can't prove that weather affects our bodies the way it does, they often discount these things as old wives tales that aren't true. But as human beings, we should have all learned by now that if something has been around long enough that it becomes a wives tale handed down from generation to generation, then there must be some validity to it, even if we can't explain it.
