Shingles Shot

I've been waiting quite a few weeks; but my shingles shot is in. The pharmacy has only been getting in a couple of doses per week; and I was on the waiting list. This is the newest type of shingles shot and should prevent me from getting shingles again or at least I'd get a milder case of it. The vaccination is not cheap -- it's around $42; and you have to get a second shot a few months later.
It's a nasty virus. You can be sick for a couple of weeks and then have lasting pain and itching for years. I had the itching for a couple of decades. If you've ever had chicken pox, you can get shingles.

@LindaOHio I had two years ago, so I cannot have a new one for another 3 years. I do not know if your vaccine is already allowed here in Europe. The cost is not a problem, our medical insurance covers it.

No, but I would get it sometime. Right now the shot seems very expensive.

i refuse to get that.the original chicken pox vaccine almost killed me.i ain't giving it a second chance.

They advise the new shot if you're 65 or older (I think).

Sorry you've got it before, doesn't sound fun at all! I did get chickenpox as a kid.
