It’s as if I Never Left

Hello again, friends! We are back in Connecticut once again and are settling in.
Our flight from Florida was wonderful. Our friends gave us a ride to the airport and due to hurting my back for the third time, was able to board the plane right after the wheelchairs. Our flight left as scheduled and arrived 20 minutes early. Our son was waiting for us in the airport lobby and drove us to our house, but only after stopping at his home to visit with Doodles the cat. While there we got to see all his beautiful new furniture and yard work.
Doodles arrived at our house on Friday morning and remembered every room, nook, and cranny. It’s such a joy seeing him again. We left him alone to go out to dinner with our younger son and daughter-in-law and he was fine with his Goosie.
Yesterday I finished unpacking and had my hair done. Today our son will stop by for a visit.
It’s wonderful being at our vacation house again! And it’s wonderful being back on myLot!

I thought Florida was the vacation spot? So you are from here? When my John was alive Things seemed to go most smoothly like that also. Gee I miss it. having lots of good days like that.

@DianneN I would have still had my /our house in AZ because he would have helped me figure a better way. He was very intelligent compared to me and most people. Seems God calls the best home first. He was 64 yrs and about to retire. 
Lord knows why I am still here while stuck in Florida. I must have done something awful at some point

We lucked out with the flight. Jet Blue is a wonderful airline. My back is feeling better, but I’m babying it.
Doodles was very happy at his daddy’s house, but of course remembered everything the second he walked into my house and yard. lol

@kobesbuddy I hope to return to my walking a week from Monday and get started again at the gym, too. It’s been tough, but I have no choice. Doodles loves it when his daddy stops by. lol

@LindaOHio He walks without a leash and understands so many words such as no big bad poison ivy, no big bad ticks, no big bad prickers, let’s go, time to go in, roll over, where’s chippy, where’s the mouse, where’s the mole, go get it, out, want a treat, which way, time for dinner, where’s Daddy’s car, where’s Grammy’s car, where’s Grammy’s other car, where’s Grampy’s car, Daddy’s home, get Mr. Goosie, get Mr. Baby, (his stuffed animals), Aunt Donna’s here (the cleaning lady), etc...... He’s so smart, and even talks to us. He says out, another one, ready......
He has two litter boxes in the house and uses them. Once in a while, he has to make a wee wee outside and squats, then covers them with leaves or grass. lol

How is your back now? So can you say there is no place like home? How did Doodles react to see you again? That is great that he was happy to be home again. Is his Goosie his toy or what? So you call that home your vacation one and the otehr home?

I’m still stiff, but feeling so much better.
We do love our large and roomy house in Connecticut, but since we are now Florida residents, it has to be called our vacation home. Crazy!
Goosie is one of Doodles’ favorite stuffed animals. He remembered us immediately and we love each other!

I am sorry you are still stiff. Have you seen the chiropractor yet? Can I see a cookie of Goosie? If not that is ok. You are family I would be surprised if he did not know you. I understand now why Connecticut is your vacation home and Florida is your home now.
