It's 105 F where I live. What should I do?

We're having a record heatwave right now here in the San Francisco Bay Area. It's about 105 F right now, and I'm wondering what I should do next. We let the kids play outside this morning until the temperature passed 95 F, and then we kept them inside for the rest of the day. My options right now are: a) Turn on the air conditioner and read; b) Go to Guitar Center, where they have air conditioning, and ask the tech about a minor repair for a guitar I own; c) Move to Alaska; d) Grab some Gatorade and head to the pool. Which would you choose?

Grab your guitar and sing "North to Alaska" at the pool.

@FourWalls Gotta love the Northern Lights (yes, I've seen them). I hadn't realized that Alaska was another "gold frontier."

Staying in the AC would be my choice..at least you have dry heat there..we get close to that sometimes..and have humidity..

Surely not Alaska and Gatorade. I think I would get a book, go to the local Mall (2 minutes from home), sit at one of the cafeterias and read my book while I drink an iced coffee.

We (my older step-brothers and me) tried to go there when I was a teenager. But our car got squirrely around Banff. At least I got to see the Canadian Rockies.

You live by Camp Roberts, I always loved that hay look, damn does it get hot there though. Much better look than just sand and occasional weeds. I still want to know how it does that is that dry grass that grows like that in our wet season and just dries out? No one ever told me. I am just a poor boy from a poor family. Come on that is funny.

I was born a poor black child but succeeded in life. It's really just a matter of having a few good mentors along the way.

I would open the fridge and stick my head in, turn on the AC, go to the pool and cool off then come home and read and dream of Alaska.

Dang it, I don't think I'd make a good fisherman. And my reality show has eclipsed Deadliest Catch...for most boring in the world.

I would drink a lot of Gatorade and spend time in the swimming pool.
