Yesterday Was A Comfort Food Day

Yesterday, it was 55 degrees (12.7 C) and it was June 13th lol. It was a long sleeve and long pants sort of day. I decided to make creamed mushrooms on toast. I had a package of mushroom that I needed to use. When I was frying up the mushrooms I thought about making some mac and cheese so I started boiling the water. As I was making my roux, I decided to add Worcester Sauce and the then added the milk and a little cheddar cheese. I started thinking that maybe I would make a mushroom pasta. I ended up adding beef bouillon and sour cream and turning it into a stroganoff type mushroom pasta dish. I also added some Montreal Steak seasoning. Oh my, this was so delicious and comforting. I think it is going to become one of my go-to dishes. Al liked it a lot too!! Have you tried any new dishes lately? I do love to experiment and I think I will add this recipe to my food blog.

It was really good, it had a little bit of a beefy taste and the mushrooms made it feel like meat.

That sounds great! I would eat it, but doubt the finicky people I have to feed would enjoy it. I did make a vegetable dish last night that my sister gave me the recipe for. It has zucchini, cherry tomatoes, corn, onion, garlic, cilantro, jalapeno peppers, curry seasoning, s&p, and lime juice. It was great. My husband ate it, but didn't go back for seconds. Little Miss only ate a couple of bites. I think it was too spicy for her.

It might be the curry, I love curry but lots of people don't care for it. I'm pretty sure Jack wouldn't lol Sounds delish to me.

@BelleStarr I watch YouTube videos and I buy cooking magazine, there are all the time a few interesting recipes that I want to try, not to mention the number of cooking books that we have at home.
