They Did It Again!

Well, they did it to me again! My doctor's office changed my appointment again and didn't let me know. This is the second time its happened. I found myself getting snippy with the receptionist and had to pull back. If we get mean to the staff, they will keep us from coming back. This is my pain management office so I can't take any chances. But we have to drive 30-45minutes one way in rush hour traffic. I was so mad and so was my brother. I've decided I'm going to contact my primary doctor and ask to go to another pain management office. I've had enough of this one.

In my 63 years, I have never had to call to confirm an appointment. This is the first time this has happened. I'm not going back to them.

I have never heard of such a thing, that is ridiculous. It's one thing with say a surgeon, they could have an emergency but pain management? Yes, I would change as fast as possible. All of our doctor's offices call us two days in advance to confirm.

I cannot believe it, I remember you wrote that they pretended to have sent a text message but you never received it. The next time call them before going there.

@LadyDuck they had three ways to reach me. By landline, my cellphone, and my brother's cellphone. There was a time months ago when they couldn't reach me so they called my brother.

That's frustrating especially if they changed it and didn't notify you. Good idea to see if you can find another pain management office to go to.

Oh, how awful for you! I can’t believe they didn’t contact you. Once is bad enough, but twice is ridiculous. I hope your doctor can suggest a better place.

Yes i did. They say they did, both times. But, the have our landline number, cell phone number, my tablet number and my email address. They even have my brothers number and have called him in the past when the couldn't reach me. I never received anything on any of those numbers.

I'm sorry they changed your appointment without telling you. I know I had to contact my doctor to verify an appointment. When I went in I asked why they didn't contact me to verify. She said I needed to sign a paper giving them permission to call. I signed it.
