If I have to "refresh" the notifies, it stops counting them down

I will try my best to explain what I mean. Today I came home to find that I had about 50 odd notifies here. I went through and commented back to as many as I could and then once my screen was empty, I scrolled down again. At this point I had 31 notifies left, I started to comment and delete as I had been doing before. However, this time I noticed that it was no longer counting down (reflecting that I had been deleting the things I'd been commenting back on). It's usually by this point that I accidentally click to go into a discussion instead of right clicking and opening in a new tab. To make a long story short, if I didn't get back you on something, I'm sorry... Me and the notify system here do not get along.

You have to refresh the page and you will get the notifications at the end of the page.

Oh, I'm sorry I confused you. I do that, but after it refreshes? the number stops counting down. For instance: I will open a notify that says "Anna commented on your response to the discussion "_____" 3hrs ago" I will then delete the notifcation, but the number at the top of the page (14 at the moment) will not decrease to 13. This only happens after I've refreshed the page.

@LadyDuck It does for me, but not after I've scrolled down (which refreshes the page).

@ScribbledAdNauseum This is weird, the number decreases when I delete a notification.

@ScribbledAdNauseum my only option is to keep opening them on new tabs

Does it make sense to delete notifications? I've never done that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Gotcha. Maybe I will try it one of these days. What I usually do is on each unique notification I just open it in a new tab and I open all of them that way before actually responding to them.

@lovebuglena I sometimes comne back to find I have lots of notifications. It's just easier for me to do it the way I do it. I do open them in a unique tab, but I delete as I go, especially if I dont' expect to finish all the notifications in one sitting.
