Tonight, my Lions Club held its annual officer installation banquet. I was amazed to note that the new slate of officers had agreed to serve for the next 180 centuries. As a self-published author, I can sympathize with all the people who proofread this program for tonight's event and missed this important detail. Have you ever made a typo on an official or quasi-official document such as an event program?

The district governor who installed the new officers even got in on the joke by commenting on the length of their dedication to the Lions Clubs.

Talk about dedication, 180 centuries is quite a long time. We may not even have an earth in 180 centuries. As an aside, I was wondering where you've been...

This school year kept me extra busy for multiple reasons. Also, since my new hip was installed last June, I've been able to be much more active and out of the house, so I haven't had as much time to be online. On top of all that, I've had two new book projects in the works.

@DWDavis Oh okay, well it's good to know that you've been able to be more active (and out of the house!) than you have been before. I guess summer is in session for the kiddos you teach, isn't it? I know WSFCS got out of school last Tuesday. Two new books? wow, congrats!

Hooray for them! Yes, and it annoys me. I was in charge of proofreading the agenda for the conferences, and I made certain to read that six or seven times.

Only 180 centuries? No, I have always been extra careful writing official documents. No so with myLot thanks to autocorrect.
