1846 - The first officially recorded organized baseball game is played - the New York Baseball Club beat the Knickerbockers 23-1!!!!
1910 - The first Father's Day is celebrated in Spokane, Washington.
1897 - Moe Howard (Moses Harry Horwitz) was born. He is known for being the leader of the Three Stooges. He starred in motion pictures and television for 40 years and started in vaudeville on stage. He made 190 comedy short films. He was a heavy smoker all his life and died of lung cancer in 1975.
1962 - Paula Abdul was born. She is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, choreographer and television personality. At 18 she was a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers and later became a choreographer for the Laker Girls, where she was discovered by the Jacksons. She was a choreographer at the height of the music video era. Then she was signed with Virgin Records. Some of her hits: Forever Your Girl, Straight Up, Cold Hearted, Opposites Attract. She was a judge for such television shows as American Idol, The X Factor, So You Think You Can Dance, etc.
