He was a heavy smoker all his life and died of lung cancer in 1975. 1962 - Paula Abdul was born. She is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, choreographer and television personality. At 18 she was a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers and later became a choreographer for the Laker Girls, where she was discovered by the Jacksons. She was a choreographer at the height of the music video era. Then she was signed with Virgin Records. Some of her hits: Forever Your Girl, Straight Up, Cold Hearted, Opposites Attract.
