What do you look for in a man? Should he be handsome? Strong? Virile? Caring? Funny, Understanding? Sympathetic? Empathetic? What do you look for in a potential partner or husband? Appearances can be deceptive so do you look for the hidden depths in a man or do you accept that what you see is what you get? The choice of who you might spend the rest of your life with, who will help raise your children, who will be a partner you can rely upon, who you will be happy growing old with, is the most important choice anyone can make. So then, ladies, what makes your ideal man?

I've been married for 48 years; but the only real physical requirement that I have is tall..with a deep voice...and I got one! Other than that honest, sincere, affectionate, funny. I missed one or two in that department I'm afraid.

No-one is perfect but, considering how long you've been married you must be pretty content with what you got

I would want someone funny, kind, smart, and financially stable.

Love is a funny emotion, just when we think we know what we want someone comes along that has none of those traits, oh well, the heart wants what it wants.

I'd probably say all of the above. But at this age, being funny, honest, and a man of God is a big deal to me. And thankfully, that's who my husband is. I'm glad our kids share his DNA.

Come to think of it honesty is probably the best quality any potential partner can have. It may not always work out in our favour but at least we would know where we stand

@ScotMac _No you didn't forget. Just being politically correct not to offend our sensibilities.
