We arrived back in Western Australia after six weeks in France, Ireland and Austria. After 30+C weather in Austria, it’s winter at home – cold and raining. We had no internet at all in Austria and over the six weeks, I posted from time to time but had very little reading time. So I’m about to catch up with all your posts, or at least some of the latest.
We had a wonderful time away but I was pleased to get home. We had a four-hour flight from Vienna to Doha, nearly missed our plane there but just managed to board it in time. The plane was half empty and we were able to stretch ourselves over several seats and get some sleep on the 16-hour sleep back to Perth, Western Australia. However, at the moment I feel a bit like this rabbit - a bit lop-sided and unbalanced. Isn’t he cute though?

So it is winter in Australia? It's the opposite in other countries.

I got that experience when we were returning home from our package holiday. The plane was half empty and I slept through the whole journey.

Glad you're home! Between you and John (who also just returned home to L.A. from his vacation in the south) I'm hopefully going to have LOTS of vacation articles to read in the coming days!!!!

Nothing like being in home regardless of wherever we go ... I could relate to how you feel now. You surely need to grab some rest.
The rabbit is surely a cute little one.:)

@JudyEv Yeah.. I'm one kind. I might require minimum of 1 week to get back to normal after a long travel.
Glad to know that you're resuming back to the normal mode..

@crazyhorseladycx Rabbits were introduced years ago and virtually brought the agriculture industry to a standstill. They increased to plague proportions and are still a major problem. Here is a photo from 1938 of rabbits round a water-hole.

@JudyEv Sometimes not having access to the internet can be both a blessing and a curse! Hopefully, in your case, it was a blessing!

You did not fancy going to England to get hold of the World Cup Cricket 2019?
David Warner and Aussies are topping right now!

No, I'm afraid not. But did you see that an Australian girl (Ash Barty) is the new world No 1 tennis champion?

Half empty plane and lots of seats to stretch. May I envy you !!
Some of the International flights I I had were so packed and I could only half sleep.
I think I had to cover up on my sleep later on.

This is the first time in ages that there has been spare seats. It was a real bonus.

That was good luck having a half empty plane. I like Qatar airways they are so luxurious compared to other airlines,. I would fly with them anytime. In my opinion they are the best!

We wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again. There was more leg room than many we've flown on and the service was very good.
