This Thanksgiving Beanie Baby was released in 1996 which was well before I had ever heard about them. . . yet I was able to buy one at retail many years later. I'm not sure when it was retired but I would guess after 1998 at least if not a few years later.
I think this Beanie is adorable. It was totally mass-produced, though, so you can find it on eBay for just $2.95 plus shipping. There are others asking $5000 for their version (probably with a misspelling error on the tag) but I can't believe that anyone would pay that much for that type of thing these days.
I will put Gobbles on my shelf when Thanksgiving rolls around. So cute!

yea,i don't get the people paying tons for beanies-i know a few of those bears are valueable.
