I Have a Date, but not with my Missus / myLot

Before you get too upset and start thinking worse of me, please let me explain. My date is with my editor. Because of our schedules over the last school year - we both teach - the two of us have not been able to meet and enjoy a celebratory meal heralding the launch last summer of my most recent novel, STORM DAMAGE. On Wednesday, we will rectify this. My missus is not only fully aware of my upcoming lunch with my editor; she is the one who reminded me today to call said editor to set up the date. The two of them are good friends and have been for at least a couple of decades. My editor was the 7th- and 8th-grade language arts teacher for both our sons. One plus of having this lunch meeting scheduled is now having three days of next week during which I will be out of the house. Have you any big or little plans for the coming week? How I envy your proximity to the water. One of the best places I lived was in Meredith, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee. It was a winter rental, but in those days winter meant Labor Day through Memorial Day and I was able to enjoy many warm afternoons in the water.
