Soft toys - a memory

I have always collected soft toys - some gifted and some bought The maid that worked for me earlier learnt to make them and we invited a few students to learn the art from her free of cost We even sold some.
What you see in the image brings back memories. The one in the middle a lamb was bought by me from a shop in Germany that sold cuckoo clocks that were also made there
The teddy bear is a gift from a friend (online) who visited us She is in the UK and the brown doggie is from a collection of toys that my niece had discarded. I was spending a holiday in the Us with her

I always liked soft toys. I still have some, a white polar bear that my husband bought for me the day I turned 30, a little lamb that I received as a gift from a friend for Easter and a yellow little duck. That one has a story, the first gift I received from my husband well before we even started dating. My father stopped at our office an evening to bring me home and my husband heard him calling me "ducky", two days after I received the little duck. It is precious.

Oh gosh, I have too many stories . . . but all of the soft friends are not with me anymore (it was just too much to hold on to). However there is one that I kept - it's somewhere in my son's room now. It is an odd lamb doll . . . from the store that my husband and I worked at when we met (when we were 18). For whatever reason it has stayed with us all these years!

@allknowing The funny thing is this lamb is the only one that came in the store shipment . . . he was the only one to be sold - and he was never sold - so we ended up keeping him! I guess one could say the lamb was our first adopted child

My favorite soft toy is a rabbit I bought in Poland. My ex and I saw it in the window, but we didn't speak Polish and the shop assistant didn't speak English, so we couldn't explain what we wanted to buy. The shop assistent pointed at the ladder next to the window and afterwards she pointed at us and we understood that she wanted us to climb up and pick the one we wanted to buy. I did that, and I got my rabbit - without speaking Polish

I have lots here, given to us from my Penpal from Belgium. I collected some (because they are so cute things, especially the monkeys). My kids collected some. Let say that those soft toys are invading my place and we are close to being kicked out one of these days.

That's okay, neither do I know. I'm sizing down, and selling things off or donating. I'm not having luck selling soft toys on letgo.com, so I was just wondering if there was a site that specializes in selling stuffed animals. Thanks anyway.

I am a total crazy fan of soft toys... I collect them even at the age of 31... And I mostly that I have are purchased by me from various places I have been to as a souvenir....
Last one from Hungary.. but that's a long back .. now I need to get more
