Hard to believe that recently it can be so hot in Europe. I just checked that Italy is around 36 degrees. Whereas Thailand is 29 degrees and Singapore is 28 degrees. As to my city Guangzhou, it is 31 degrees. It is very surprising that Tropical countries are so "cool" lately. Perhaps we shall have a cool summer there

Isn't that unusual Youless? No one would think that this could happen. The heat in Europe is intense right now.

39 Celsius (101 F) here yesterday, first time in history. The climate is changing and it shows.

@TiarasOceanView I stay inside, all the shutters and windows closed to avoid the heat to come inside. I take several showers every day. Around 8 p.m. at least we have a nice breeze from the mountain and the night is not too bad.

it will be interesting to see what unfolds. Under one set of predictions, we could be actually seeing the beginnings of a new ice age. It has to do with the fresh water dump into the ocean as the glaciers melt causing the ocean currents to stop flowing in their around the world pattern. In turn this will cause the temperatures to begin to drop rapidly. From what I can see, it don't look like that is the direction we are headed.

@cperry2 we could see some parts having more snow than normal, and others becoming more of deserts.

@youless Who knows. I don't like focusing on the negative. I like to think we will find some ways to resolve the spiral we seem to be in. I think we have it within us to find the answers despite those who would say "why bother." I believe it is up to each of us to do our small part to reach a positive solution.

The whole world is having freakish weather. Summers are shorter in some places and longer elsewhere. Rainy season has shifted in many places. The World Leaders many of whom are meeting at G 20 should stop focusing on border issues, immigration laws and do more on the weather and climate changes.

it was our current president who pulled us out of the Paris Accord, Many here will be glad to see him go. But not if Pence is the one to step in. It's ugly right now in Washington.

I could not agree more. The border is a symptom of much bigger issues. Solving the issues of WHY these people are compelled to abandon everything and try to go elsewhere will resolve the migration issue. Yet our president seems to think that the people who leave home are evil and must be stopped. I don't know that I have ever seen a man less fit for public office than our president. I see lots of notes on the internet that we should offer our respect to the office. I generally respond, "Forgive me, I cannot and do not respect the office when it houses a man that is morally inept, mentally deficient, and generally incompetent to lead a pack of stray cats, let alone this nation."

Yes, I have noticed that. Just now we have 35 degrees Celsius here in my home in Germany but my home town in the Philippines now is only 26. Crazy, isn't it?

@youless No. That will cost a lot of money. We only have 3 months of summer and only a few weeks hot.

@youless I suppose so. but all I know is hot. People say it doesn't feel as hot when the air is dry but I can't tell the difference. Maybe because its' always humid here.
