Where is summer?

Today it's the 29th of June and summer hasn't arrived yet to Portugal.
I have waited all week for the weekend to spend my time in the beach and now I have realized that it isn't hot enough for that.
So disappointing!
Where you live are you already with summer weather? Is it hot enough for beach days?

Here where I live in Florida in the southeastern United States, summer weather began for us back in late February and early March!
Isn't Europe in the middle of its worst heatwave ever? Is Portugal not feeling the effects of that major heatwave? I'm surprised it's not hot where you are!
I went to the beach a few weekends ago, and it was very hot! We only stayed half a day because it was so hot out!

@fufurinha Your country is very lucky that you don't have to withstand all that excessive heat that the rest of Europe is feeling right now. I hope you enjoy your summer days!

@fufurinha I don't think that anyone wants the extreme hot weather but we do want it warm enough to be able to go swimming in the summer.

In India it is monsoon. Travellers go to beaches to enjoy the rain there.

@fufurinha there is a south west breeze termed moushumi. from there the term monsoon came. In India it means rainy season.

Yes. It has been in the 90's most of the week. Saturday my cat, Lily, stayed outside almost all day in the heat. She refused to come in. My mother had to bring her in. I haven't been letting her out since. I hope Friday it will be a little bit better and I can let her out.
