This is a Ham and Cheese Quesadilla, more or less. I lightly coated one side of the tortillas with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sprinkled on a generous amount of Mrs. Dash with the purple cap. One tortilla went onto the griddle oil side down. I added a layer of smoked gouda cheese, a layer of tavern ham, and a second layer of the smoked gouda. The other tortilla was then laid on top. I let the first tortilla crisp up just a bit and then carefully flipped the whole thing. The result is what you see here. Once the second tortilla had a chance to toast up, I removed it from the griddle and cut it into 8 small slices. It tasted wonderful. Then it was back to writing once more. What did you do for lunch today?

I'm not familiar with 'hanger steak.' Still, steak and veggies sound like a good lunch.

@NJChicaa I had to look up sous vide cooking. Now I've learned two new things today.

@DWDavis It is a long thin piece of beef. They cook it sous vide so it is super tender

Wow, you made a fancied up quesadilla ! We do just plain tortilla and cheddar or monterey cheese (boring) - not even with any oil or anything. Our lunch today was grilled cheese . . . plain-nothing to it unless you count butter .

Grilled cheese is one of my favorites. Do you ever make them with a slice of tomato on them?

I did enjoy it. The flavors blended well. I showed my missus this picture and now she wants me to make them for lunch the next time we go camping.

Cooking with the Mrs. Dash on the griddle this way really brought out the flavors.
