Would you swim in the river?

There would not be sharks, would you swim there? Just a little bit away (1/2 a mile) there are sharks. Would you anchor your boat and swim here?

No, I would never swim in a river, but I swim nowhere, I fear deep water.

@DocAndersen I am pretty sure that something happened to me when I was very young and I cannot remember.

If i got a chance to swim in the river, surely,i will.but in china, the rivers are very dirty, there are much poisonous things and trash in the river, the fishes are mutant, and the water is green, like the green pepsi, but it smells very awful. So i really don't have a chance to swim in the river, because there is no clear and beautiful river in China

I wouldn't swim because of sharks and because of the bacteria in fresh water.

I would, and have, gone swimming in rivers. Just a note about being 1/2 mile from where there are sharks. If they are bull sharks, they might just swim upriver and snack on a swimmer or two. Bull sharks have been found as far as 700 miles up the Mississippi.

for the most part, the bull sharks swim around the bay bridge (a lot more fish there)

Sure, the shark has a choice of meat with all those people.
