Found Money

On our "travel Tuesday" we drove across Wisconsin and up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It took all day, as we rested when we chose. I believe I posted about that.
Probably besides the awesome scenery, the best thing that happened was a Wal Mart Card.
No fooling.
At home I am sorting out my desk. I found a very old Wal Mart card. I am pretty sure it had been an incentive from a job I had more than six years ago. I checked and it had a nice little balance.
I like to keep snacks on hand for hubby when we travel, we are still working on trying to put on some weight. We had used all our snacks up giving them to the kiddos when we went places--which is okay. They do not get snacks or treats really often. I also wanted a night light for the bathroom in the hotel. I got myself some cottage cheese for light meals or snacks.
We were able to use the card and get just what we needed. With 86 cents left. I guess I will get a candy bar sometime.
I am surprised I had a gift card with something on it. Guess you could call it "found money".
Image is one that actually turned out right from the zoo. It is their oldest male silverback gorilla. We were inside a building and I thought in the crowd someone had very bad body odor. It turns out that this is typical of the adult male gorillas. I could smell it through the glass.

Yes, I thought it was just a bunch of sweaty people in an enclosed space.

There should be a phone number on your Barnes & Noble card to call and check. That is what I did with this one. The gorilla almost looks as if he is holding his nose.

That gorilla looks deep in thought. That is wonderful I always love it when I find some extra money I can use unexpectedly someone up above is looking out for you

It must have been strong to be able to smell it through the glass although once we were outside a harness shop that was closed and I could smell the leather. It is a lovely smell. I could have stayed there for ages just breathing in the aroma.

Leather smell would be great. I think this somehow was coming through the ventilation system.

They really do have a strong smell. But I still find them cute and adorable and very smart as well.
My kids love to go to the zoo and the parks. It is a cute photo you have there with a sweet and fun memmories.

Other zoos where I have seen them they have been outside, so the odor was spread in the breeze.

I saw something here when I first logged on about people pulling over to the side of the road because there was paper money all over it. I thought maybe you were one of them when I saw your title.

sounds like when i 'twas clearin' out books to donate to the library. seems i'd stuck a $50 'nside one 's a bookmark. didn't need 't back then, sure needed 't when found though. jest thankful i bothered to go through all my books, 'r someone'd been most surprised, lol.
