This weekend I will start planning my vacations. Stretching my money.

The first thing to do will be to check how much I will have to pay for the lodgings.
I have a timeshare in Aruba, but every year I have to pay for the yearly maintenance. That includes cleaning of the apartment (except dishes), clean towels for bath and beach towels and the maintenance of the beautiful areas surrounding a big clean pool and to outdoor jacuzzis.
When that is done, I will start putting away money for supermarket, electricity bill (it has to be paid apart) and some souvenirs.
Humberto had said that we could pay later for the lodgings as the dollar has been fluctuating here. But I am afraid it will get more expensive so I will have to do it soon. We are hoping to take a couple of bottles of Chilean wine bought cheaper at the duty free shop. I will save one of mine to share with Coral when she arrives. I´ll talk to him this weekend, as soon as I have the exact amount, so that they pay their share.
For the moment, all is just theory. I have lent Claudia some money for her surgery and it has not been reimbursed yet.
Why does all have to be about money?
But I know that I will have lots of fun!

@much2say There are places where it is harder for me to go. But I can try at a slower pace.

True. And although I don´t need huge amounts of money, I´d like to be comfortable as money gos.

@LadyDuck I started to worry about money after my lymphoma. Even with the help of the government, a cancer treatment is very expensive and there are things not covered by any insurance.

@marguicha Same as you, I do not care to be "rich", but I like to know that I can buy what I need without money problems.

I think that there are several ways of not spending a lot of money and have a nice vacation.

I have to get money for some things. But I´ll be in an apartment so eating will not be expensive.

@sophie09 The apartment where I have my timeshare is very nice. It has a balcony too. There is one room for a couple and 2 more can sleep in the living room.

I´m sure my friends will share part of the expenses. So it will not be impossible to do it.

No. But as I need good lodgings, this is very reasonable because I bought a timeshare years ago. Now I only pay for the maintenance each year and a small fee for electricity.

If we share expenses, it will be fine. The fare is expensive, but not as it used to be.

. But well, yours will be well spent on a lovely getaway and time with friends - it will totally be worth it!
