I was looking through the Keto Chow products and saw that they had a starter pack/sample pack on sale for $25 and free shipping. So I decided to get that and once they arrive I'll taste the 6 flavors that are being sent. I also get a blender bottle with the order which is great (I think those are being sold for $8 on the site).
I get these 6 flavors to try:
Chocolate
Vanilla
Salted Caramel
Strawberry
Snickerdoodle
Mocha
I think those are some pretty good flavors to get to taste...I am glad this pack didn't come with banana!
I wanted to share some of the nutrition information about the product so you can just see that I think the shakes are worth it.
Most of the powders have:
-26 grams of protein
-6.5 total carbs with only about half a gram of net carbs
- 1,500 + mg potassium (that's amazing)
-852 mg sodium
- 220 mg of magnesium
- Amino acids
- Plenty of vitamins and minerals
Each scoop/shake is about 1/3 of the daily needed nutrients needed daily.
Knowing this, would you try it? Either way....I am going to give it a try and I will keep everyone updated with how it goes.

Well that is good to know, I just noticed that it had mentioned a list of all the different amino acids in the shakes.

Well, you know I am on an opposite diet, doctors orders of low fat, low carb and low soduim, 1200 calories per day. With that being said I have to say nope I would not.
But the flavor sound tasty.

I did know about the 1200 calories, but didn't know about low fat & low carb. I couldn't imagine having to do that! For this, you might not necessarily have to add the fat (but I guess it would still be higher sodium).
That's just 6 of the flavors, they even have some savory flavors!

Oh yes, it definitely would! I just need to find a way to be able to afford it. If I didn't have to pay the big price up front it wouldn't be a problem.

@amitkokiladitya I do know the price...it is $60 or more per bag! Each bag has 21 meals worth of powder. It ends up being $3 to $4 per meal, but I don't know if I can pay for it all at once!

@jstory07 Yes....that is why I don't worry about my sodium level (as long as it is not extreme) but I do worry about potassium.

I am sure they will be delicious! Well on a low carb diet you need more sodium since you don't hold onto it like with a high carb diet.

Thank you, it really will if I am ever able to do it for all three meals a day! But it should be a nice addition to my regular meals.

@MommyOfEli2013 I would still want food. But it could be very helpful on those days when you are tempted by something else like going out.

@wolfgirl569 well for now, I still will be eating one regular meal a day at least! I would like to do one shake everyday though...I can even turn it into ice cream!

@MommyOfEli2013 I would look like a balloon with all that sodium. I'm doing my best to keep it below that with everything I eat. It's not easy. But knowing I need at least 500 mg a day, I'm working at that or lower if possible as I know I still have a lot of overload in my system. I swell easily.
I hope it works for you with your dislike of fruits and veggies.

@just4him I understand, even that amount could be too much for some, and some people have 3 meals a day of this stuff so they'd get the 832 x 3! I couldn't imagine trying to stick to no more than 500 mg! But best of luck with keeping it low
And yes....just even one meal a day out of this would be a huge help! I'll probably have 1 shake, and then 1 regular meal....going to try to only eat 2 big meals (or maybe two and a snack).

Yes, I thought so since you are really watching that. It'll be good for me to get all the stuff I miss from veggies though!

I don't know if I could handle the high fat...drinking it with cream would be hard, especially since I'm lactose intolerant.

Technically, you don't have to add the fat....or you could add avocado oil or butter. But you could just add water. I'm going to use butter for mine!

That is okay, that is why I like sharing about these things. And the shake has complete nutrition (all the vitamins and minerals needed in a diet)....so thought it would be helpful to me to start having at least one daily.

It is supposed to be very healthy...it's a powder that you mix with water and a fat source and turns into a shake.
