** Veggie patties/ cutlets for yesterday‘s dinner **

I always prefer giving boiled mashed veggies for my daughter. She likes carrots and potatoes for sure. But, she hesitates to have any other vegetable. I then thought, what if we cook in the form that they like.
I quickly browsed and found a common snack recipe "Veg patties". One good thing in that recipe was, we don't need to deep fry the veggies. We can also customize the kind of vegetable we can add to it.. I've tried it with potato and carrot before. Yesterday, I made it with just potatoes and I'm planning to make this quite often so I can introduce most of the vegetables to my kid. She liked it so much. I made two variants. One with less or no chillies for her and the other one with handful of chillies. We can also add roasted peanuts for a good flavour.

They look delicious. It is a good way to introduce different kinds of vegetables. We don't cook a lot at moment, in the summer months we often make a salad instead of cooking a big meal.

@smileyhema I was a picky eater as a child and it was hard for my mother to convince me to eat vegetables. I think I would have been more likely to eat them that way.
Yes, salads are perfect for summer. Sometimes we make a salad and eat it outside for instead on the beach. Our winters are cold so we want to enjoy the summer months.

@Porcospino So true. Kids usually cling on to those foods with some crispy look or presentation. Also, nowadays, Mayuri watches me cooking and preparing those stuffs. She will get tempted in the midst of the process too. She will urge me to give those even before cooking. In short, kids will eat if it strikes in their mind that it's something nice to do and so it must be something nice to have as well.
Wow! Eating salads outside must be so cool as it is. Summer is not something special in our country. But, we admire that the people over here would take full benefits of all the season. They come and have fun in the pool. It's something we should take part during summer as well.

Yes, that's really a trick and I'm afraid that if I don't introduce these things now, she will build up that as an aversion. That will be for no good.

@VivaLaDani13 Yes, Dani! We can't force her at this age too. She will go wild if I do so. That's why I chose this path.
Yeah. You should try it on your own and I'm sure you'll enjoy having them.

@smileyhema That is so true! It's best to try push people into trying something new and I know you'd do it in a friendly way and not forced.
I have had them before but had them when I was very little. Haven't had any since then but I think it would be fun to try make for myself.
