My Crochet - Sunflower Afghan

Here's an afghan i made that i have been wanting to do for a couple of years and finally did it. I did alter it a little from the original design by adding more color shades, and added more depth to the outer center. If i had to do it again, i would have added more squares to make it drape more. This is on a twin size bed.

I think it is beautiful, my grandmother, used to crochet, and I wish I would have learned. How long did it take you to do this?

Thank you. I think it was about one month. You can learn. I'm self-taught (before the internet) i bought books to learn. Now you can look up instruction videos on youtube for free.

@Debscrochet I am afraid, I would not be good at it, , when did you first learn to do this?
A month is still really fast for something like that, as far as I know it is very quick,

Maybe next time to 8 rows of granny squares?
That is a beautiful afghan. Sunflowers aren't my favorite but I do have a friend who loves them, she'd go ape over this one.

I really like things with the sunflower motif and there are lots of pretty ones out there. This is lovely. I can see where you might have wanted one more row.
