Delicious Lunch & Dessert Yesterday

Had errands most of the day yesterday. Stopped at the favorite lunch buffet restaurant for a $5.00 lunch. Yes, the one that has everything. Fried chicken, lasagna, baked chicken, dumplings, beans, cole slaw, potato salad, corn, baby carrots, peas, sweet potato casserole, cornbread, roll, and dessert. I am sure I left something out. Oh, and a separate salad bar as well.
I did not get all of the above. Just sharing with you what was on the buffet. I had a small plate and then the dessert in the photo. Peach cobbler and ice cream. Then I went on my errand trip. Tried to walk off the calories.
The best part about all of this, besides the price, it is all homemade. This place does not even have a microwave. It is always packed.
Have plans for this Tuesday? We have rain again today. But I don't mind, I will be home today.

@CarolDM Oh wow still very cheap then too! Do you guys have a restaurant called Sizzlers there? Where it's a big buffet?

That sounds like a wonderful place to eat! No plans for today. Hubby has a doctor's appointment. We will probably get some of Barry's rain at some point today. Have a wonderful day.

Your buffet sounds like the buffet I go to once every year in Amish Country while at a womens' conference. Did you have homemade noodles?

@CarolDM Last month, I did go to a Chinese buffet and was not shy... I rarely overeat, so I had three plates! Don't tell... LOL Ancient Chinese secret...

That looks a lovely dessert. I made a steamed pudding yesterday. That was pretty nice too.
