Been arguing with my husband

or my future ex-husband as I should call him. We got into it last night on the phone and via text and the same this morning.
I know that he is very stressed about work these days. I can't handle arguing with him because it isn't good for my mental state. This morning after everything I just told him that I was sorry he was upset and to call me when he was having a better day.
I won't continue to deal with his nastiness when I don't deserve it. I understand that he is stressed out but he doesn't have to take it out on someone who is supportive of him.

So sorry to hear about your situation and I wish divorce was not in the cards. My wife and I went through some very hard times, and I am very grateful that in the end we stuck it out. She is my rock and my best friend and we have grown more in love as a result of the harder times. Not ALWAYS possible to find resolution, but one thing I have found about marriage is that it IS a compromise. If either side is not willing to budge it is definitely over. Communication is key. Luckily my wife and I can talk and hash things out without killing each other...or wanting to. Well, sometimes we want to...but we also know very well how to hide the knives.

i'm proud 'f ya, hon. nope, ya aint gotta deal with those bad moods. 'tis no longer yer responsibility to be the whippin' post, he made that decision all by 'imself.
the hubs here 'twas prone to that. takin' bad days't work out'n me with demeanin' 'n vulgar words. i ordered him a punchin' bag 'n 'd 't installed out'n the garage. told 'im to take those frustrations out'n such. which he did, 'n broke a finger. i'm bad, coz all i could do was laugh...

He needs to take his stress&anxiety out at a gym, like his wife does! What ta heck does he have, to be so touchy about? He can't admit, that living the single life is terrible:(

@NJChicaa Men have 'male ego', they believe that everything has to remain under control(theirs). If that gets threatened, they blow a gasket!

So sorry that you are going through that right now. I wish I could do something but I really do not know what you are fighting in here. So I can only wish that you settle things in a calmly manner and find compromise to what ever you are arguing about. I think that the fact you are still communicating is still a good sign that things will be settled.
