I won't buy veggies for few days...

I am just back from the farm house. I made an earlier post about it. It was fun driving on empty roads so early in the morning. But while coming back we got traffic and it took a little longer. But still the traffic was lot less than on working weekdays.
I got enough veggies ( I have put the picture here)from there and glad they are all organic ones. Also got some more of passion fruits and a few papayas.
So I don't need to go for veggies and fruit shopping for few days. Some more vegetables will be ready in few days and I will get them delivered in my place
.
We planted few more fruits there and also some more veggies.
Feeling good and fresh after working in farm. Though I am tired driving so long. Will take some rest and mylot.
The best part of the trip was a picnic breakfast of boiled sweet potatoes from the farm, idlis and chutney that my friend cooked and carried and hot coffee that we made there. We also had some mangoes fresh from tree and they were too delicious.

. I will be full till late afternoon.
How is your day going on?
Enjoy mylotting!

@LadyDuck I think these trees are more common in Asia. It's a very good tree and all parts of it..it's leaves, fruits and flowers are used. It's called a magical food for poors. It covers all nutrient requirement in low cost.

Those are drimstick leaves and flowers. We use them in curries or lentil soup. Quite good for health. They are rich in iron and calcium and help control sugar levels.

@arunima25 I can't have tea without ginger, so it's a must for me.

Have not bought them for last six months. I grow it in my terrace or my friend gives me from her farm. Yes she sells 25 for 150 gm. So it must be the same rate. It's costly.

@avi256 Same with us. Since we don't add sugar, ginger gives that flavor.

@amitkokiladitya If you have a terrace you can put some pots of veggies. I think even you have monkeys visiting, so chillies, bittergourd and underground veggies like radish and sweet potatoes will be good. I am growing these with all green leafy ones. Others are ruined by monkeys.

@vsai2008 Work of a dentist without electricity would be really tough or rather impossible. Is it common to get power cut in your work place??

That's wonderful. You got a good or enough supply of veggies. It's wonderful to be in the farm once in awhile. You mentioned sweet potatoes. They're my favorite root crop. I like eating them boiled.

We got it later also. So it has been few days that I have not been to fruits and vegetables shopping. Even I boiled the sweet potatoes and had them.
