It felt like 114 F outside and the AC inside was not working

Yesterday was 99 F degrees. Heat index was around 114 F. Outside was hell. Definitely the day to stay indoors inside an air conditioned room.
I had a bridal shower to attend to held at hubby's aunt's house, so while I wasn't going to be home I'd still be indoors where it's nice and cool. Except that it didn't turn out this way.
The AC was not working properly over there. Instead of it being nice and cool it was very hot and stuffy. And having about thirty people or so present was not helping matters.
I was dying in there, as were many other people. And we were there for about 4-5 hours. It was hell.

@Spontaneo Oh. Yeah. Though the extreme was no laughing matter. Some people actually die from it. And maybe then go to hell if they were naughty.

That would have been awful. A crowd like that would generate a lot of heat just by themselves.

The party itself was rather enjoyable but would have been better if it was nice and cool in the house.

In the 80s today with some rain, and in the 70s tomorrow with rain again, but then back up to 80s.

@lovebuglena Yeah, they said close to 90 by the weekend. We must have been bad to deserve this!!!
