Lucky me - I now have two cards!

We have to drive to our nearby small town to pick up our mail. Today, there was a lovely surprise for me as @Gillygirl had sent me a very attractive postcard showing scenes from her village.
This was actually the second card Gill had sent me as just last week I received an early birthday card. Gill is one of three myLotters who share a birthdate. Mine is at the end of the month. Thanks so much, Gill. It’s so nice to receive personal mail. It doesn’t happen too often nowadays.

Yes I like to receive mail and it is a nice feeling when the postman text me that I have a letter or package from someone.

@JudyEv No in my town the post office is close because of that and I only pick up the parcel or mail in the next town after mine and it took half an hour to reach there.

@JudyEv now see, ya could'a gotten one from me, too, but'cha declined such back when i 'twas sendin' out cards, lol.
i'm thinkin' the 'nly hand 'ddressed schtuff i get these days'd be from my cousin'n a couple other folks fer Christmas?
this reminds me, i'm way 'hind pennin' letters to ms. maggs, ms. suez 'n ms. jabo....i'm a horrible friend!

@crazyhorseladycx That's lovely that you write to those members. I'd forgotten that I'd asked not to be sent a card.

I still have the letters we wrote to each other when I was up north for three months. I have kept a few others too.

You are so right. Personal mails and postcards have become so rare in this new technology world. Those cards are so beautiful. So nice and thoughtful of her.
