Good morning MyLotters....

I think I had about 4 hours sleep last night. I had such annoying dreams and woke up feeling quite p*ssed off. I have bad dreams / nightmares a lot anyway (literally almost every single night) but there are some days I wake up feeling annoyed as going to sleep is supposed to be about giving your body and mind a good rest. ok it is funny to me right now but I woke up, laid there thinking about my dreams and gave my brain the finger once I realised what my sleep movie was about. I believe dreams can be very random but can also be connected to our subconscious. I am usually dreaming about my abusive ex boyfriend but just to make it more "interesting" my brain likes to throw in those cliche dreams of being chased by crazy people, zombies trying to eat me, big rough waves, being in a plane that always friggen crashes, being held against my will, trying to call for help but can't, large hills or walls I can never get over, me holding onto anything because I feel I will fall off the Earth, my mum being alive again for her death was a mistake (denial of her death ?) and yadda yadda things like that. Scary and abnormal things. My waking life is exhausting and stressful right now so I'm not surprised my dreams are more intense. If there was an off switch to stop having dreams, I would switch it off indefinitely. *inhales slowly and exhales slowly* Thank you for stopping by, please also give my brain the finger on your way out. So how is everyone else today / tonight?

Maybe you need a change in television/movie drama. Those are intense nightmares. I get strange dreams, but they disappear when I open my eyes and I never remember what they were.

@VivaLaDani13 I agree with you. You can play Sims on YouTube? My son got me that game many years ago, Sims 1 but I'm not coordinated with a controller and I always burned the house down.

@just4him Oh no sorry. I mean my favourite YouTuber used to play the Sims. He is a gamer and films himself playing games and I like to watch them. haha! Yeah I did that a lot too with the first Sims game! If a Sim is brand new to cooking, then there is a chance there will be a fire.

@just4him It was honestly nothing about what I was watching. I was watching my favourite YouTuber playing a game called The Sims. It's never due to what I am watching. I do understand that what we watch can impact our dreams but that's not the case with me. I'm someone who suffers with depression and anxiety and PTSD. My dreams are just highlighting all of that for me. Cause my brain is soooo nice. NOT. Thank you for your answer.

Not a pleasant dream for sure. I dreamed of my bossy brother, we were arguing even in my dream.

@VivaLaDani13 We argued a lot last year about the sale of my mom apartment. It is over now, but he caused me so much stress.

@LadyDuck Oh my goodness! I have those types of dreams too! Do you have those sorts of dreams often? Are you by any chance arguing with him about things you think about in real life? Or fight about in real life? Sorry you can't escape the arguments lol

@LadyDuck I'm sorry. Reminds me of the dreams I have. There are a lot of things that happened in my past and it's over but I often have dreams of yelling at some family members about things they have done or do now. It's usually about them not listening to me. I too have dreams about arguing with my brother as he causes me a lot of stress. Sure is interesting what dreams will show us and how some are pretty relevant to how we felt / feel in our waking life.

Wow, that was quite a lot there in your explanation. I can only imagine how exhausting that has to be constantly dreaming about those sort of things every night. You are right--it would be amazing if there was a way to flip a switch and shut down your brain for a little while so you could get a good night's sleep.

@VivaLaDani13 Too bad you don't have a volume control button on your phone that you could push whenever those family members start yapping away. You know....like turn down the volume or put it on mute so that nobody can hear a word they say! lol

@moffittjc Yeah it's very annoying. And it's even more of a struggle when certain family members of mine don't actually listen to me about this. If I say "I'm very tired" my Nan or Aunty have remarks like "You were asleep all night." or "How could YOU be tired." No matter how many times I explain that just because I'm in my bed, doesn't mean I'm sleeping and when I do sleep it's like running a marathon. And why they even have comments at all about my life is annoying because I don't even live with them. Gee-whiz!

@VivaLaDani13 I was on a mild dose of sleeping pills at one time which gave me a good night's sleep but since I did not want to make it a habit I discontinued having it.

@mayka123 That is very wise of you. Good for you as many people do rely on sleeping pills. I understand how it can be easy to get hooked on them too.

That's the way how our mind copes up with stress. I often have vivid dreams but not nightmares thankfully.

@VivaLaDani13 I just make it a point to relax my mind and body before going to sleep. That may be helping me.

@TiarasOceanView He is alright thank you. We are still waiting for a call from his surgeon. My dad is feeling a bit irritated not knowing when he can have this surgery to remove some of his infected toe. I'm hoping it's soon as I'm worried my dad will get sick again like when this all started. But he is doing pretty good otherwise thank you.

That's sad for we need at least 7 hours of sleep every night. Maybe prayers will help you. When I get stressful events etc...I pray and give the problem to God to solve. I ask, let's say for better sleep, too if I need it too...and it works, thank God. Take care and I hope your sleep time improves.
