Books are Magic

Books may well be the only true magic. They can take you to a faraway shore, teach you how to do something you couldn't do before and take you on a journey of words to make you happy, sad or full of wonderment. Real books will always be my favorite. E-books are OK for some situations; but I like to hold a real book in my hands...smell it...feel the pages. How about you? Real books or E-books? Taken any journey of words via a book recently? Photo Credit: Love This Pic

I like real books, too, but my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be, so ebooks are good for me. I can adjust the font size to make it easier to read. When I can find good books in large print, I far prefer them. I used to tell my kids (and I believe it's true) that if you can read, you can learn anything and go anywhere.

Tried an e-book once. Not for me. Will forever be a real book lover. Nothing like holding that book and flipping through those pages and inhaling that new or old book smell. If someone were to pay me a lot of money maybe I'd make an exception and read an e-book.

Books tend to be totally magical only because of the title and its cover, but tell me: who has not been transported to a world in a story of a book?

@LindaOHio I love that you say books are magic. I am with you I will always love a real book to hold in my hands to read than going online to read one. Call me old fashioned.

I love books. I have never done the e-books and don't think I will start now.

I prefer real books in some cases. E-Books work for me if it is light reading done for fun. Also, E-Books are handy when we travel as I can bring a large number of 'books' with me on our trips.

I guess I prefer real books since I never got into the whole E-book thing myself. But I agree about books being magical :)

I read both ebooks and physical books, they each have their place, and they can truly be magical.
