Should Have Bought This The First Time....

Around the 4th of July, I got some bleach to try to get the red out of my hair, as well as bleach my roots. Well, it only slightly bleached my roots, but didn't even touch the dyed red hair. I had got some bleach from Loreal. After using it, I went back in and read the reviews, which were mostly negative.
Tonight, I decided my hair had a long enough break since that...and decided to use a different brand (which I have used before). 30 minutes later, and most of the dyed red part is now blonde (minus the pieces here and there that I missed). I didn't have enough to do my roots, but they were almost blonde so that's okay. After my roots grow in some and I feel I need to touch them up...then I will do that and get what I missed this time. I don't want to over process the part that was just bleached though.
I thought I might need to cut my hair if that hadn't worked, but now I don't. I used the bleach from Splat (they have bright hair colors too that you can find even at Walmart).
Photo is mine. I don't normally post selfies, but wanted to show how different my hair is now. You'll be able to see the spots I missed, but that is okay.

I wouldn't shave my hair off lol, I don't think that would be a good look for me.

I went through the same as you but I made it more drastic, I wanted to change from one day to another from jet black to platinum blonde and pretend it was all at once, error! terrible mistake ... I only have terrible carrot reds, a stylist recommended that to sweep a color like red or black which are intense it is better to do several fading washes but less intense and invasive, she recommended me to do several discolourations with hydrogen peroxide of 10 volumes or less, not as everyone who uses water of 40 volumes usually does, which quickly damages the hair weakens it and leaves it as a chewing gum, then it is better to discolor with several low-impact washes up to that you take a color like the one you have, always starting to apply the mixture from where it is more difficult to discolor either your tips or your roots, so that it brightens more intensely. When you achieve a high tone use the last sweep with 30 volume water which is strong enough to leave it very blond, and from there use the dye mixture with some gray or blue or violet highlighter according to the tone you want in your blond

@MommyOfEli2013 I support that you should cut it in addition to wearing a new look you could also start from scratch to recover your color, also that you can take care of the tips that are growing because it is difficult for your hair to recover its original tone, your hair has stained, and that happens because the hair has memory and recognizes the pigments it has taken for a long time, so it is difficult to get rid of, there is an application where you put your photo and you have several haircuts so you can predict which one suits you and how you will look if you choose one from them

Yes, I do understand that...I just let my color fade for a long time but it wasn't moving...so just decided to bleach it out.

@YuleimaVzla I don't really want to cut my hair, I don't like it short. I like it at the length it is, and I like the blonde.

I use one solid color, no bleach, and no high lights, used to do all that stuff years ago, but keep it simple now.
I have to be in the right mood to do any of this stuff.

@MommyOfEli2013 it looks good , I don't know what it looked like before, but looks good. I can't pull it off as a blonde.
Long as my grey is not showing it is all good.

Keeping it simple sounds like a good way to go. I just was bored with my hair color and wanted a change. I have to be in the mood too!

@CookieMonster46 Thank you! When I am able to touch it up it will be how I want it....but it's fine for now. I don't know that I pull it off, but I like the color anyway lol.
And oh okay, I understand
