This week is going to be a little hectic, and out of routine, but preparing for next school year is part of the agenda.
VBS at church for five nights this week.
Doctor with hubby tomorrow morning.
Wednesday classes for school.
I have things to do, and will likely not do them. I will shower and take a nap.
I need to be at the church by six, so we will eat early. The last few days we have had salads often, and fruit, sometimes soup. That is working out well.
I topped a salad with roast chicken and garlic shrimp at lunch. Tonight will be tuna salad, and seafood bisque and pea salad.
Not a lot of dirty pans from cooking that way.
I have now, just barely, passed my earnings for last month, so that is good.
We have relatively warm weather, but I do not mind.
Guess it is time to take that shower and nap so I can be all perky with the kids at church. Talk to you later.

I need to buy some more salad foods soon. VBS towards the end of the summer helps get the kids back into the swing of things.

@GardenGerty I'm going tomorrow to get some salad makings for my jars. I like to put different ones in mason jars and do the same for oatmeal.

Yes, the school was one of about 550 to achieve this nationwide.

80 s feel pretty good to me, but we are used to hotter temps. Yes, I need to get a little more salad fixings.

Does your school district have days allotted for snow “built in” to the year? It used to be rare for us to be in school after June 1, but now it seems more common...in addition to an earlier start date.

Yes, they do. I am not sure how many "snow days" they have. In my former district before all buildings had a/c they had to take some heat days off in that one school but then extended the rest of the days by a few minutes rather than lengthen the year. I did not work all year last year, but they had four snow days and a rain day. We had so much rain in May that the buses could not get around out in the country. School ends before Memorial Day but starts back before Labor Day around here.

I am enjoying myself. Being busy also means less time for worry. Worry is so unproductive anyway.
