A Black Moon

I learn something today that I never really thought of as it is not spoken of like its counterpart. I saw a news report saying that there is going to be a "black moon" tomorrow July 31st a rare event than the "blue moon" which does happen once or twice in a year. The term is also used every 19 years when in February there in no .new moon at all with the last one being in 2014 and the next one in 2033. I never ponder the thought that if we have a month with two full moons ther has to be at times a month with two new moons.

Interesting. Yes, there are months with two new moons, but it's rare.

I'm fascinated by the moon and was aware of those facts. Always interesting to me.

We do have months with two new moons but not often. A black moon will be cool to see. Two new moons is called a black moon. Two full moons are called a blue moon. Suppose the phrase "Once in a blue moon" came from this.
