Eight Backyard Bluebirds

Have not seen bluebirds much this year in my backyard. I always have baby bluebirds each spring. But the robins took over and ran off the bluebirds. First time in 10 years with no babies. But I saw others, as I have talked about. Robins, cardinals, blackbirds, many babies. Maybe next year there will be bluebirds babies.
While walking in the yard yesterday I heard the bluebirds. I stood still, with my phone in my pocket in case I needed a camera. Eight bluebirds visited the bird bath. Eight! I was so excited. They are under my tulip poplar tree at the bird bath.
Have to apologize for the quality of the photo. It was taken with my iPhone several feet away in the shadows of my trees. I was trying to be very quiet not to scare them away. But hopefully you can at least make out the shadows of eight birds. Made my day.
Bluebirds are very special to me, a connection to my son.
Do you enjoy nature? If so, have a favorite bird or animal that makes your day when you see it?

I get excited when we see the hummingbirds and various other birds. Yesterday I saw the badger that lives nearby, but I rarely see.
The other day I saw a fox and a beaver while cycling. The day before that I saw a mule deer bounding along like they do in cartoons. We often see deer; moose a little less frequently.
A few weeks ago, Mama skunk walked by with all her babies following. And a few weeks ago I saw 4 young foxes playing in a farm yard. I stopped to watch, they hid behind a granary and peeked out. So cute, but not the farmers' friend

Birds come in groups here as well. The cacophony is sometimes much too loud but enjoyable

oh, i'm doin' the happy dance with ya! yer most fortunate to've such colorful birds, ours're mostly shades 'f greys 'n browns. seein' any critters makes me happy :) took years to get the bullock's orioles to come'n the spring, raise their families. when some new folks moved'n, they put'n a new beehive. sadly those bees 'f theirs lived'n my hummer feeders (a fav 'f the orioles). whilst the hummers'd circle 'n shoo the bees off, the orioles did battle. last year 'nly one breedin' pair came. 's soon 's the fledglings could tend fer 'emselves, they disappeared - e'en 'fore the grapes ripened (they used to come jest fer a few days, jest fer the grapes). this year, i've not seen any :( hopin' they'll 't least pass through come grape pickin' time. i blame the cats fer my shortage 'f hummers. seems i've 'nly one pair this year, 've seen no youngsters.
i've not seen a bluebird, cardinal, titmouse, etc fer years. they jest aint 'round these arid parts.

The birds show up well, too bad you can't see much of the blue color. I don't see bluebirds much here, but I really love it when I see a purple martin.

Oh my goodness, so many! That is so exciting!
Since we don't get that many different kinds of birds, I honestly get excited when I see pigeons haha There are some red throat finches that pop up randomly and I like them they are very pretty.

I don't believe that I've ever seen a bluebird. I don't know if they frequent the north. I get excited about any type of bird or animal. I especially like to spot a turkey, fox or deer or some type of colorful bird.

Nice shot of the Bluebirds. I have some which come to my yard daily to eat the peanuts I feed them. When they see me in te yard by my feeder they shout out.

@CarolDM My mistake. I meant blue jays. Nice to have so many show up at one time.
