How Today Went & An Art Design ~ 7.31.19

Hey everyone, hope you are all doing well.
Today we went to a town, 45 miles from home, to give Door Dash (food deliver service) another try. Not sure whether a town of almost 50,000 people is still not good for this kind of business, or if the app wasn't working like it should....but we got no orders again. It didn't even show hot spots today, which is weird.
Anyways....after giving it time, we decided to have lunch, so went to Chik-Fil-A. I got chicken nuggets (less than 10 carbs for a 8 piece) and I had a few fries (not even 1/4 of an order of the kids size).
After, we decided to take Eli to Kiwi Loco, a frozen yogurt place. I was just going to have a bite of his to try, but saw they had a low carb one (a coffee flavor one, 2 carbs per oz). I got the smallest sized cup...I did add a few pieces of candy....but not too many.
Then, we went to GoodWill to look around....my husband got some clothes, Eli got some shoes and books.
So, in the end it wasn't a wasted trip. But still disappointed that Door Dash wasn't successful. Going to try Insta-Cart soon (grocery delivery).

Sounds like a fun day out and about. I haven't tried Door Dash or any of those. I just have a taxi get it. How do those work anyway?

@MommyOfEli2013 .......I've never used DD and wondered. So you pay twice, right? Once for the food and then to DD when they deliver.

Lunch and after that was fun, for sure. The Door Dash failure was disappointing, but might need to give it a try now that I contacted support.
For the services like Door Dash, the customer orders their meal through the app...to any of the restaurants in their city that participate....and then the delivery person gets an "order" to go pick it up and deliver it.

@celticeagle I have never used it as a customer, but I think you would only pay once....they would just add the delivery fee onto the total price.

We use our car, but I think you can use a bike for it as well.

I love that design. Love the mix of blue and purple I order my groceries through the local Publix supermarket which works with Instacart because I have no car and it would be difficult for me to get groceries but I always try to get free delivery and still the service charge and the tip for delivery would be something I would not have to pay if I could get to the store.

I am glad you like the design, with these colors :) Oh that is cool that the store works with Instacart. Understand, free delivery is good. But with services like that I know there are all the fees.

I hope so too, I messaged Door Dash support though and they are going to change my "market" to the bigger city....so that might have been the problem!

I m sorry that Doordash wasn’t successful but glad it wasn’t a totally wasted trip! The design is awesome!

I am sorry too! Had I received my Insta-Cart card, I could have been trying that at the same time. Just don't know why nothing can ever work out. It is good the whole trip wasn't wasted though, thank you....and glad you like the design!
