My Boyfriend Runs On AAs

There is a friend of my wife and I who is female. She is single. She has always been single. She really has never had a significant other, and she has never married. She is in her 50s. Upon a recent visit we told her she should really find someone to share her life with. "My boyfriend runs on AA batteries," she said. "It's the only boyfriend I want and he has 9 speeds." I suppose if that's what makes her happy who are we to judge? BUT, I have to admit when she said that both my wife and I heard that old record scratch sound in our heads. I did make it a point to mention to her that we have "friends" like that as well, bit it's more fun to play with them together than alone. Although my wife was a bit silent on the issue... Wait a minute. Huh?

The benefit of that boyfriend of hers is that it don't talk back to her, and doesn't snore at night in bed! lol

I think she dated a little bit in her 20s and 30s. But she never supposedly had anyone she ever considered a boyfriend.

Ironically, with that sense of humor, she sounds like a gal I could marry. I don't have nine speeds anymore, though.

@porwest It is what it is. Even in my waning years, I will not want to be accused of being "selfish."

lol. Neither do I. I do remember an old guy who couldn't do it anymore, who also could not take Viagra due to a heart condition, said to me once, "It's why God put bones in your fingers." I laughed, but was somewhat repulsed at the same time.

I cannot disagree with that at all. Not one iota. Although it can make playing around with the real thing a bit more fun at times.

Lol. I think it's great. To be honest I have had a lot of issues with not being respected in dating - so I prefer the battery operated type of boyfriends too lol

Indeed. I mean, I can't say the wife and I don't mess around with toys, gotta keep the spice you know, and be able to laugh a bit. But I would not so openly share that with our friends.
