Fiesta in our City

Hello Mylotters! Sorry that I have not been here for a few days. I was so busy at home.
We had visitors last weekend until Monday. My niece and her 3 (2, 3 and 5 years old) children were staying with us. We went to our city festival which had fireworks last Saturday evening at the Rhine. It was awesome to see how happy the kids seeing the fireworks. Then on Sunday, we went to the fleamarket at the same place at the Rhine and watching the ferriswheel and other riding toys. We then took a rest at the Rhine watching the parachuters jumping from the sailing planes. It was awesome. We enjoyed our bonding very much. The kids are huggers and I love being hugged by them.
Yesterday I had my birthday. I did not celebrate it but just went having dinner at our nearby restaurant. It was also time for me to relax from my happy weekend. The visitors last weekend was the best advance gift I had for my birthday.

I can´t do that @allknowing. If I have visitors, I entertain them with a conversation. I like to be treated like the way I treat my visitors. Thanks.

Belated Happy Birthday Thelma, you surely had a wonderful evening at the Rhine. The next important celebration here will be the 15th of August, I have already received the invitation to have free appetizers and a cocktail in front of the Town All.

happy belated birthday wishes. my "day" came'n went with no fanfare, not e'en a nice meal out, lol. delightful to've those huggin' young'uns. jest great ages fer showin' 'ffection. seein' their wonderment 'n 'xcitement must'a really touched yer heart, too.

@crazyhorseladycx yes, they really touched my heart. I wish to have grandchildren but I don´t have any. My niece said that I am sort of an instant granny for her children. I love what she said.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I was boating on the Rhine once when I was a teenager visiting Germany with my mom. Happy Birthday to you and hope all your best wishes come true.
