The T.V. Man

On the news last night, I don`t watch often, there was a report of people walking up to houses and leaving old fashion t.v.`s. Fifty t.v.`s were left as gifts, many caught on the new door cameras. The one video clip shown, the culprits were nicely dressed in Jumpsuits with black gloves and a t.v. on their heads! Yes the unknown t.v. man! Seems this is the second year for the "gifts" of old fashion t.v.`s to be left on door steps. In August last year also. I found this to be one of the more tasteful pranks.

@andriaperry This definitely would fall under the category of "you can't make this stuff up."

I got rid of our old TV's when we moved. No one wanted them so I gave them to my grandchildren.

A television prank story that is very unusual to say the least.

Is that really a gift or just someone leaving junk on your porch? Cause around here the garbageman will not pick up old tube TV's so now you have to deal with getting rid of it.

@andriaperry I suppose it might be a little funny if your leaving it for someone, but if I'm the one getting it now I have to deal with someone else's junk. That would not be so funny.

They probably don't know how to get them recycled. Up here you pay a recycling fee when you buy a new set, so that's taken care of. Strange prank if its not what I suggested.

I don't get it. What's the prank? If those are genuine vintage TV sets, they are collectible.

It's hard to get rid of that type of "gift". You have to pay extra to drop it off at the dump.
