What are your must haves in your next home?

Some people may be staying permanently in the home they are in now, but others are looking to move at some point in time. There are only two things I think I really must have in a new home. A fireplace, I don't have one here, and I really miss it, as most of my houses, apartments have had them, and a walk in closet. I have one now, and never want to be without one again. Oh yes, there are lots of desirables, like garage parking, screened in porch, garden style tub etc, but I am dying for the fireplace and since I love my walk in, I would never go back to a standard closet. What about you? What are your must haves in a new dwelling?

Well most places don't furnish a piano unless you are in a dwelling for seniors. Wouldn't you buy that yourself?

@snowy22315 I would. We had a piano when I was a kid. It is now in a friend's house in Atlanta GA. I'd settle for an upright Yamaha in my next house. I can't fit a piano in this small apartment. I taught Horse Jr. to play on an electronic keyboard.

@snowy22315 At one of the airBnB's that we had in Ireland, the pressure in the shower was woeful, really bad. It took ages to get the shampoo out of my hair.

Yeah, if I was living in an apartment complex I would want a pool for sure. Nowadays, alot of the complexes are offering salt water pools since they are less harsh on your skin.

@snowy22315 We have a pool here. I love swimming, and it's helping me get my girlish figure back. I'd miss that if I moved into a place without a pool.

Well if you are happy there it's all good. This isn't the worst place in the world here..but there are just a lot of drawbacks.

One must have for me for when I get a new apartment is to have good neighbors who are easy to get along with who also don't bother me.

Make sure you get soundproofing between them..I don't really favor apartment living but the last apartment I lived in was really pretty good, because there was lots of space between units, and I never heard a peep from my neighbors.

The house we are in will probably be our last fixed dwelling as we plan to keep it and use it as our home base when we retire and become semi-nomadic retirees living in our camper.
If we were to buy a new house, it would have to be a single-story house. I don't want to have to drag myself up and down stairs anymore.

Just a normal house where me and parents will be together. I'm still.living with my parents, I'm still a college student and this is our own house but I told them that we will not live here forever because I have my relatives which are my neighbors and I hate them because they are so envy, fake. I want to have other house/property where me and my parents will live and not here. It feels like hell here surrounded with them lol. That's my first ever goal because my parents are getting old, I want them to see the new house that they're really dreaming for me.
