Well, I won't be spending $2.99 per book for the rest of the series

I talked a few days ago about a Dystopian Novel that I was reading. I found Zach Bohannon's Empty Bodies novel on the kindle best seller's free list and grabbed it up. I finished it and downloaded the free copy of Adaptation that was on offer at the end of the first book.
Well, I've read both of them. I am not saying that they were bad books, as they weren't so bad. In fact, they are laid out pretty well, but I find that they are somewhat predictable for me. I say somewhat because I obviously do not know what will happen from book to book.
Even so, I find that they drag on too long. Others who enjoy the genre a little more, may not think so.
For me, it's just not worth it to spend $2.99 per book for around 4-5 more books.
I would rather have spend $15.00 on one big volume of all the books.

No, I'm not really big on Dystopian's so I haven't gotten around to those yet.

I try to spend the least amount of money I can for books. Which is why I choose to do the freebies.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I see. And is time to save, instead?

@JustBhem I am trying to save, yes. There are things I need / want and have to deny myself because I simply can't afford it. I am trying to do a lot better about saving.

When there is a series that has a lot of books in it I like to try and get them all in one some of the ones I read I can get like 1-5 and then the rest in the next box set. But my library don’t do this so if I want to do this I have to use amazon.

I haven't been using amazon / Kindle Unlimited for books. I have too many I can read, get for free, or go to the local store and pay a good price for some books.
I haven't set foot in a library in so long.

It doesn't make sense spending money on books if you aren't totally enjoying them. Would you believe I've only read one book this whole summer. Shocker!!

You know how I used to love to read? I haven't been making that a priority anymore. I do want to get back into a little more reading, but I'm not reading as much as I once was.
I think fall is better for reading anyway, I'm sure you'll cozy up with a few good books in the temperatures drop.
